Scout honored for Wyoming trail work
Gabe Roeder of Wyoming has been honored by Chisago County for his volunteer service to the community by enhancing the Sunrise Prairie Trail. Roeder, a Forest Lake High School senior, recently completed an Eagle Scout project by building wooden benches for the trail. In process of the project, Roeder was elected to the Order of the Arrow Council by the Scouting National Honor Society. The youth planned, designed, raised funds, constructed and placed the benches along the Sunrise Prairie Trail in the Wyoming area. Each bench has retail value of $800. A proclamation from the Chisago County Board recommended by Commissioner Ben Montzka of Wyoming recognized the youth for his efforts.
