Blaineís aviation weekend May 20-21
The annual celebration of aviation at the Anoka County Airport Janes ñ Field in Blaine will take place Saturday and Sunday, May 20-21. Events include the annual pancake breakfast and lunch sponsored by EAA Chapter 237 and a hangar dance Saturday evening at Golden Wings Museum featuring David Andrews Big Band. Helicopter rides, home built, vintage and warbird aircraft will be on display both days. Golden Wings Museum, featuring beautifully restored vintage airplanes, and American Wings Air Museum, featuring a variety of reconnaissance planes and warbirds, are on the field and open for touring. Model airplane demonstrations, aviation displays and much more will be offered. Admission to the event is free but a donation for parking will be asked to help cover expenses.
