Julie Ohman is Superintendent Lynn Steenblockís choice for the permanent director of community education in ISD 831. Steenblock said last week he will recommend Ohman to the school board on Thursday, June 1. She was named interim director of the community education department in March following the retirement of Dan Poepard after 20 years at the helm. Ohman is on leave from her Grade 4 teaching slot at Forest View Elementary School. ìWe are very pleased and excited to have Julie continue to work in the capacity as our director of community education,î Steenblock said in announcing his decision to recommend her hiring to the school board.
