Former Assistant Chisago County Attorney Timothy Ryan of Lindstrom has announced his candidacy for Chisago County Attorney. Ryan, who has practiced law for nearly 20 years in the public and private sector, is currently in private law practice in Chisago City with attorney Scott Berry of Wyoming specializing in criminal and civil litigation. Ryan is a former assistant public defender for the state of Minnesota in the 10th Judicial District. ìCitizens expect and deserve an effective, efficient, fully-functioning Chisago County Attorneyís office, and thatís exactly what I intend to provide as your county attorney,î Ryan said in announcing his election bid. ìI have the experience and commitment to best serve the people of Chisago County.î Ryan and his wife Teri, an employee of Hazelden Foundation, have lived in Lindstrom since 1993 with their two children, Caitlin, 18, and Sam, 17. He is a 1983 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Liberal Arts and a 1987 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law, St. Paul.
