Residents of the Wyoming area have been asked to submit ideas for a new name for a planned fall celebration in Wyoming. After a successful 150th anniversary celebration last fall, the Wyoming City Council received many compliments and requests to make the celebration an annual event. Based on that feedback, the 2006 Wyoming celebration will be staged on Saturday, Sept. 30. Names for the celebration can be sent to celebrationcommittee@wyoming.org. Please include your name, address and telephone number. A $50 gift certificate will be awarded to the winning entry. The celebration committee is also looking for more volunteers to help organize the event. The next meeting is 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 25 at the Wyoming Community Center.
