Girls golf wins FL Invite

The Forest Lake High School girls golf team took first out of 19 teams at the Forest Lake Invitational Monday with a score of 370.
Betsy Kelly led the Rangers with a score of 83. Nicole Tetrault shot a 93, Mallorey Messin a 99 and Laurel Pelton a 95.
ìThe girls played well and are really working strongly as a team,î Rangers head coach Joel Hall said. ìI am very, very proud of their accomplishments this year so far.î
The win moved the Rangers into the fifth spot for the metro ranking.
At the Lady Elks Invitational on April 25 the Rangers took fifth, but Kelly was a medalist, shooting a 77.
The Rangers next match is at 3 p.m. today, Thursday, at Hastings.
