Softball falls to 1-8

Limited offense and errors led to an 8-0 loss to Woodbury by the Forest Lake High School softball team.
Woodbury scored unearned runs in the first, fourth and fifth innings to take a 3-0 lead. They then added a run in the sixth and four more in the seventh inning.
The limited offense for the Rangers was led by Kacie Waldoch who had two hits. Cassi Freerks, Chelsie Nelson, and Kelly Kent all had hits as well.
ìWe did not play well at all and struggled both offensively and defensively,î Rangers head coach Angie Berg said. ìAll the way around we struggled.î
Michelle Secor and Jessica Skogen were out with injuries, and Berg is hoping theyíll be back in the lineup this week.
Amy Lalla pitched for the Rangers, allowing one earned run.
The Rangers next game is at 4 p.m. today, Thursday, at Park (Cottage Grove).
