8 local youth awarded Eagle Scout rank
Eight local Boy Scouts were awarded Eagle Scout recognition during a special ceremony on Sunday, Oct. 29 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Forest Lake.
Listed below are the projects each Scout completed to earn their award.
Ben Elfelt, 16 other scouts and 4 adults constructed 10 cedar bluebird houses for the Carlos Avery Wild Life Management Area for his Eagle Scout project.
Mike Stilwell, 20 other Scouts and 5 adults constructed and painted 6 boxes for the Hide for Habitat and set them out in the Forest Lake area for his Eagle Scout project.
John Wielinski, 13 other Scouts and 7 adults transplanted 200 white pine saplings at the William OíBrien State Park for his Eagle Scout project.
Pat Homyak, 19 other Scouts and 4 adults painted the fellowship room at the Hosanna Lutheran Church for his Eagle Scout project.
Jacob Hendrickson, 20 other Scouts and 5 adults constructed 10 wood duck houses and placed them on the Greenburg Island in the William OíBrien State Park for his Eagle Scout project.
Nate Hodges, five other Scouts and three adults placing two signposts with four signs explaining the alternative storm water management system.
One was placed at Hugo City Hall and the other one on Gateway Trail in North St Paul for his Eagle Scout project.
Ross Chester, 20 other Scouts and 7 adults put land scraping brick and put mulch in the flowers areas around the Hosanna Lutheran Church.
Josh Stomberg placed a flagpole and did some landscaping around it at the Cedar Hill Cemetary on Heath Ave., just north of first lake on Forest Lake.
