Fire damages adult group home in Linwood
Five residents of the Ostlund adult group home on Typo Creek Drive in Linwood Township escaped harm early Sunday evening when fire broke out at the facility. Linwood Fire Department and State Fire Marshal's office officials said the fire started in the porch after a cigarette butt was placed in a receptacle. Owners Harold and Marlys Ostlund said any decision on remodeling is uncertain at this point. The five young adults who have disabilities have been placed in other group homes in the area.
