Although the results of the Nov. 6 Memorial Hospital District board election will have little long-term meaning, three incumbents were voted in by their respective cities. Sam Mattson won in Forest Lake, Mike Perreault won in Hugo and Barbara Hvass won in Columbus. All ran unopposed. No candidates filed in Lino Lakes and Centerville. The board has certified the results of the election. The winners from Nov. 6 will never take office next year, however, as the board has taken action that will result in the district being dissolved. Caroline Dahl was declared the write-in winner for the city of Lino Lakes while in Centerville, Todd Stefon was the write-in victor.
