Early November brings a slight lull in the varsity schedules, which provides a perfect time to peek into the future of Forest Lake swimming and diving. Last week the junior varsity competed in the Suburban East Conference meet, and in similar fashion to what the varsity crew did this year, members of the JV squad turned in one personal best after another. As a team they finished in the middle of the pack with 186 points and in fourth place, but the list of swimmers who turned in personal records is rather extensive.
îOverall the meet went fairly well,î head coach Rochelle McKenzie shared. ìMost swimmers either had personal bests or matched them in at least one of their events.î
McKenzie also noted that the rookies grabbed a little of the spotlight with all of them posting impressive personal bests.
ìIt was a nice way to end the season,î she concluded.
