Say ëgoodbyeí to the Tin Man
After spending approximately the last 80 years on the Forest Lake street-scape, the ìTin Manî water tower will no longer look over the city. The city of Forest Lake has tentatively scheduled the water tower to be taken down on Friday, Nov. 10. City Administrator Chip Robinson stated that it will take Iseler Inc. about a day to fully remove the water tower. During a July 24 council meeting the city council accepted a $11,500 quote to remove the tower. The contract gave Iseler from October 1 of 2006 to April of 2007 to take down the tower.
