Guns stolen in residential burglary

Guns were the targets of a burglary at a home in Forest Lake this week.

A Forest Lake home owner told police here the four guns were stolen in a forced-entry sometime early Tuesday from the 18000 block of Forest Road N.

The local resident reported the loss of two shotguns and two .22 caliber rifles. No value was placed on the stolen weapons.

A guitar valued at $1100 was also stolen. A Fender Stratacaster guitar was reported taken.

The resident also estimated property damage of $200 in the burglary.

In other news, officers in Forest Lake:

ïFound a fishing boat owned by Jennifer Spiess of Stacy submerged in the First Lake adjacent to the Lakeside Park public dock. It is believed the drain plug was pulled or dislodged causing the fishing boat with a six horse power Johnson motor to sink before noon on Saturday.

ïAssisted the Minnesota State Patrol with a personal injury crash at the intersection of Fenway Ave. N. and TH-97 shortly before 8 a.m. on Saturday. Police reports said a Forest Lake woman was turning left from Fenway to go west on TH-97 where her car was broadsided by an eastbound vehicle on TH-97.

The woman was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale with internal injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the State Patrol and charges are pending. Forest Lake Fire & Rescue was also on the scene assisting with extrication of the local woman.
