mpared to the first day of school in 2005. Superintendent Lynn Steenblock reported to the school board last Thursday night that K-12 enrollment was 7331 on Sept. 7. When school opened a year ago, the K-12 enrollment was 7472. Elementary enrollment is off 95 students and the junior high school has lost 102 students, Steenblock said. At the high school level, however, the enrollment is up 72 students. The senior high ALC enrollment is down 16 students from a year ago. Because of the increase at the senior high and a higher weighted formula for state aid reimburse, the impact of the enrollment decline will not be as severe, he reported.
