Lynn Steenblock, superintendent of schools in ISD 831, has received good grades in his annual school board performance evaluation and a $6300 pay-for-performance boost to boot. The performance review was completed this summer and reviewed by the school board at its regular meeting last Thursday night. As a result, Steenblock has been awarded the pay bonus which is provided under his contract with the school district. The superintendent was graded in general areas and for specific goals. In the latter category, the one area for improvement was in passing the levy for learning. In the general area, the superintendent was rated the lowest in community and staff liaison and relations, but scored well in school board advise and operations and strategic planning.
