Two new teachers have joined the staff at North Lakes Academy Charter Middle School in Forest Lake. The public charter school has announced that Dan Mendenhall joins NLA in his first full-time teaching position as a general science instructor for grades six and seven. Diane Abrams brings over 15 years of teaching experience in both traditional and charter public schools to the special education team at North Lakes. NLA has a 20-member teaching staff with class sizes of 20 or fewer students. North Lakes Academy opened the school year with total enrollment of 180 students.
