Forest Lake will host one of two hazardous waste collection sites in Washington County on Saturday, Sept. 30. The Forest Lake event will take place at Northland Mall, 1432 S. Lake Street US-61) from 8 a.m. to noon. Items accepted at Washington County household hazardous waste collection events include the following four categories: Household products, lawn and garden products, automotive products and hobby and recreation products These events are open to all county residents. Participants will be asked to provide proof of residency such as a driverís license. These items are also accepted at Washington Countyís year-round collection facility at 1900 Hadley Avenue N. in Oakdale. Click on ìReuse, Recycle & Properly Dispose of Wastesî and select ìHousehold Hazardous Waste Collection Sites.î For additional information, contact the Washington County Department of Public Health and Environment at 651-430-6655. Cottage Grove will also host a site the same day.
