With the 14-day filing period now open, candidates have filed for office in the city of Wyoming and Linwood Township. As of early Tuesday of this week, Wyoming Mayor Sheldon Anderson has filed for reelection to a second two-year term as mayor. Besides mayor, two council seats are up for election on Nov. 7. Council members serve four-year terms. Residents may file for office through 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12. In Linwood Township, Howard Holm has filed as a candidate for Seat A on the Linwood Town Board of Supervisors. Candidates in Linwood may file for office through 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12.
