Bogotty 1st to file for FL Council seat

Bo Bogotty was the first candidate to file for Forest Lake City Council on Aug. 29. Bogotty filed for one of the two four-year council seats that will be voted on at the General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 7. ěThe city of Forest Lake can depend on me when it comes to service to our community,î Bogotty said. ěThe residents can also be assured that I will continue to keep my pulse on our community after being elected to represent them.î Bogotty was runner up in the 2004 city council race. He received 2254 votes. Since 2004, Bogottyís interest in serving the community is ěas strong as ever if not stronger after what I have witnessed with the actions of our city council over the past two years,î he said. ěThree issues led to widespread community discontentment, some of which has been ongoing,î he said. ěHad council members truly had a pulse on those whom they were elected to represent, the results would have been minimized or even prevented.î Bogotty has owned and operated the Upper Deck in downtown Forest Lake for eight years and prior to that the Forest Laker for seven years. He serves on several community-oriented committees including the school districtís Key Communicator Committee.
