Blankets needed to help homeless

Nu-Life Drycleaners, 1500 S. Lake St. in Northland Plaza, is taking part in a Minnesota Cleaners Association project in September and October to collect blankets to help the homeless in Minnesota. The store is now accepting new and lightly used blankets. Blankets donated will be cleaned at no charge and delivered to Sharing and Caring Hands in Minneapolis. ìWe invite our customers and the whole community to drop off a blanket or two,î said store owner Mark Freundschuh. The association has coordinated the blanket drive the past four years. The association represents more than 100 dry cleaners in the state. Sharing and Caring is an assistance center for the inner-city poor that serves 20,000 clients each month.
