The traditional Swedish “Welcoming of Spring” celebration will be held on Saturday, April 28 at the Gammelgarden Museum.

Enjoy a free evening with family and friends. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, sausages to cook outdoors and help the Gammelgarden Museum kick-off their 2007 season.

Free, ongoing tours, of the museum will be offered from 4 to 7 p.m. The Scandia Butik will also be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The American Swedish Institute Male Chorus will be adding their voices to the celebration from 5 to 7 p.m.

Coffee and saft (a Swedish fruit drink) will be available all day as well as free hot dogs and 3-meatball sandwiches, a gift of the Gustavus II Adolphus Society, from 4 to 7 p.m.

The evening will come to a close with a bonfire and Swedish sing-a-long starting at 7 p.m.
