A budget of $5.6 million is in place for a late summer resurfacing project on TH-97 and US-61 in Forest Lake, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said last week. The resurfacing targets TH-97 from I-35 east to its junction with TH-95 in Scandia and the segment of US-61 from its south junction with TH-97 north to the US-8 junction on the north side of Forest Lake. In its announcement last week, MnDOT listed construction dates of July 5 to Nov. 15 for the TH-97 and US-61 resurfacing. A road closure for an unspecified time will be needed on TH-97 at some point during the project, MnDOT announced.
