Spring hours are in place at the Bixby Park compost site in Forest Lake. Saturday, April 7 was the first day of spring service at the compost located on NW 8th St., north off W. Broadway Ave.. The facility is designated for city of Forest Lake residents only. Residents may obtain finished compost and wood chips at no cost. The site is also available for disposal of debagged leaves and brush and trees no larger than three inches in diameter. There is no charge for disposal. Spring hours are 1:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday and 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday through Sunday, May 27. For more information, call the city of Forest Lake at 651-464-3550.
