Masquers Theatre invites area residents to audition for its production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

This timeless fairy tale full of romance and fantasy will captivate the young at heart in children and adults alike.

Auditions will be held on Monday, April 23 and Tuesday, April 24 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Forest Lake High School, 6101 Scandia Trail N., Forest Lake, MN.

Masquers Theatre has added a special audition day for college students who cannot make the auditions during the week.

They will be holding a special audition time for them on Saturday, April 28, but college students need to call 651-464-5823 for an appointment.

Callbacks are also on Saturday, April 28 at the Forest Lake High School.

Masquers is looking to cast 30-40 people (plus 3-5 children, ages 8-14).

Bring a short prepared song (a pianist will be provided), a list of conflicts, and dress appropriately for a short dance routine.

The play will be directed by Janice Murphy Roman with music by Karen Hillman.

Performance dates are scheduled for July 13-15, 20-22, and 26-28.

Evening performances at 7 p.m. with Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.
