Get ready, Forest Lake, The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra is returning to town on Tuesday, June 5 for a 7:30 p.m. concert at Forest Lake High School.
Tickets went on sale this week for the concert and are expected to go fast, said Jim Lindstrom, choral director at the high school who is sponsoring the concert as a benefit for the high school vocal music department. The band last played here in June of 2005 and was a smash hit with a quick sell out.
Musical director Larry O’Brien will lead the big band sound of The Glenn Miller Orchestra which is owned by Glenn Miller Productions, Inc., under license from the Miller Estate. The band plays nearly 300 dates each year.
