As the Forest Lake City Council liaison with ISD 831 School Board, Councilman Greg Ochs paid a visit to the school board last Thursday. Ochs said the city council was looking forward to continuing its good working relationship with the school board. He said his visit was also a time for the school board to consider appointing a liaison to work with the city council. Ochs said the city of Forest Lake is anxious to explore joint efforts for financial and work-related cost saving measures that would benefit the school district and the city. Board President Bill Bresin welcomed the idea and said the school board would review the liaison possibility at its next regular board meeting. Ochs, who is recovering from triple by-pass heart surgery, thanked the board for its willingness to consider the request.
