Schools in the Forest Lake Area School District and across the country are facing new challenges in educating students.

The public is invited to come learn from a recognized leader in education reform during a special presentation to the community from 7-8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 27. The public is welcome to attend this free event, which will be held in the FLHS auditorium.

The audience will be challenged by special guest Ray McNulty, senior consultant of the International Center for Leadership in Education and executive director of its Successful Practices Network.

His presentation will focus on reinventing the education system to accommodate future trends and challenges in education, including: globalization, demographics, technology and changing values.

McNulty will also share strategies to build innovation and leadership into our schools and classrooms, and discuss ways we can close the achievement gap.
