Girls cross country alumni meet
DISTANCE: The distance is a 3000m race or 7.5 times around the track. The reason for the distance is that this provides the coaches with an accurate assessment of the athletes VO2 maximum (intake of oxygen, output of carbon dioxide).
SCORING: The meet will be scored just like any other meet: Varsity vs. Alumni. A traveling trophy will be presented to the winning team and returned each year.
COST: Nothing, as long as you participated in girls cross-country.
Everyone will meet out on the patio of Century Jr. High for the barbecue after the race (per the weather).
AWARDS: The winner of the race will receive a small plaque for their efforts.
T-SHIRTS: All participants in the race will receive a Forest Lake Girls Cross Country T-shirt. Those not participating in the race can purchase a T-shirt for $10.
