FL Police investigate burglaries

Police in Forest Lake are investigating a series of burglaries reported during the past week.
An alarm is credited with scaring off would-be burglars at Forest Lake Car Wash, 292 SW 12th St. early Tuesday morning.
Officers responding to the scene at 4:15 a.m. found signs of a forced-entry burglary, but nothing appeared to be missing.
Two residential burglaries were also reported to police late last week.
At 8:42 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, a home owner in the 5700 block of N. 214th St. encountered a juvenile who was going through personal items in a bedroom.
The youth fled the home when confronted.
Police were told jewelry valued at $2000 was missing. Police have a suspect in the case.
At 7 p.m. on July 28, police were called to a report of a burglary in the 6600 block of Lipizzan Trail. At the scene, police were told cash and rare coins with total value of $5200 were missing
Dog sees action
Matrix, Forest Lake’s K-9 officer, was called into action at 12:23 a.m. on July 29 to apprehend a suspect who had fled police.
Police attempted to stop Ryan T. Waller, 21, of Lino Lakes for careless driving when he fled. Police chased Waller to the area of Ingersoll Ave. and 202nd St. N. where he left the car and fled to a nearby woods.
The police dog was called to the scene and cornered the suspect. He was arrested and taken to the Washington County Jail in Stillwater. He was booked on probable cause of felony fleeing in a motor vehicle, fleeing on foot, open bottle, obstruction and driving while intoxicated.
In another report, police ticketed four area juveniles for minor consumption of alcohol after officers were called to The Karate Store, 255 Highway 97, on a report of suspicious behavior at 2:51 a.m. on July 27.
At the karate studio, officers found a number of juveniles. Four were handed tickets for consumption violations.
One was ticketed for fleeing police on foot and another was ticketed for a tobacco violation. The youth hailed from the Forest Lake, Scandia, Wyoming, Lindstrom and Shafer areas, police said.
