Legion falters in districts

The Forest Lake Post 225 baseball team suffered through a pair of lopsided losses at the American Legion Third District Playoffs last week to close the summer season.
Mahtomedi won the opening game on Wednesday, Aug. 1 by a score of 18-7, but Post 225 came back the following day in the loser's bracket to down Rosemount, 11-8. Forest Lake was then dismissed by Lakeville North, 20-5 on Friday.
