The Washington County Board of Commissioners has appointed Chuck Haas of Hugo to the county’s parks and open spaces commission. The appointment came at the Feb. 6 meeting. Haas, a member of the Hugo City Council, was appointed for a three-year term. The purpose of the commission is to bring citizen perspective to the operation of Washington County Parks, reviewing policies and planning efforts and recommending changes to the county board. The commission will also advise the county in implementing the county’s $20 million Land and Water Legacy Program.
