The Forest Lake Community Scholarship Foundation Board has added two new members to its board. At its monthly meeting on Thursday, Jan. 11, the board officially added Kati Simons and Jim Caldwell as board directors. Simons is a parent of three children in the school district. Caldwell is a dean at Forest Lake High School. They will replace outgoing board members Susan Novak, Cindy Walker and Julie Carver Greiman. Carl Peikert, who recently retired as a physician at the Forest Lake Allina Clinic, was a guest at the Jan. 11 meeting and is considering joining the volunteer group that raises scholarship dollars for students and residents of ISD 831.
