Waller appointed to watershed board
The Washington County Board of Commissioners last week approved the appointment of Hugo resident John Waller to the Rice Creek Watershed Board of Managers. Waller is a family farmer who has served on the Rice Creek Watershed's Citizen Advisory Board for over 10 years. Watershed districts help conserve natural resources by taking an active role in protecting and conserving the water supply in their geologic area. The Rice Creek Watershed District encompasses approximately 201 square miles of Anoka, Hennepin, Ramsey and Washington counties in Minnesota. More information on watershed districts is available at the Watershed District page on the county website - www.co.washington.mn.us. Go to the "Environment" section under "Info for Residents."
