Scott Hansen, five-time winner of the Minnesota Comedian of the Year award, will headline a benefit on Friday, Feb. 9 for the St. John's Academy and Little Angels Preschool in Stacy.

Tickets are now on sale for the seventh annual gala and silent auction.

The benefit for the Stacy church school will take place in Forest Lake at American Legion Post 225, 355 W. Broadway Ave. The doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the show at 8.

Hansen and two other yet-to-be-named comedians will entertain at the Feb. 9 comedy night in Forest Lake.

Hansen has earned a national reputation on the comedy club circuit with regular appearances in concerts with superstars Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld and Drew Carey. He has made national television appearances on HBO, Showtime, Arts & Entertainment and E!.

He has produced regional television shows and his comedy material has been performed by the likes of Leno, David Letterman and Minnesota's own, Louie Anderson.

Hansen has been in the comedy business for 20 years.

Advance sale tickets cost $35 per person or $60 per couple. The ticket is good for a buffet dinner, a chance to bid on many silent auction items that will be up for bid and the night of laughs.

Show tickets only are $20 each.

The comedians will hit the stage at 8 p.m.

Proceeds raised on Feb. 9 will raise funds to help support the Little Angels Preschool and St. John's Academy.

For the current school year, the Stacy school is offering educational programs for pre-school to Grade 1. The school will soon open registration for Grade 2 classes that will be offered in the fall.
