A man in Linwood Township was hospitalized with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head last week after Anoka County deputies were called to the home on a report of a man threatening suicide. Police were called at 11:20 p.m. on Dec. 23. According to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office, the man's wife reported hearing a single gunshot after the man left the back of the house. After a brief standoff, deputies took the man into custody. He was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. The case remains under investigation.
