Clare Lillis of the Forest Lake Rotary Club is the new Rotary District Governor.

Lillis was inducted last month as District Governor of Rotary District 5960 for the year 2007-2008.

The honor came during the club’s annual meeting and award program at Stars and Strikes Entertainment Center in Wyoming on June 28.

The Forest Lake Rotary Club also presented three area residents with Paul Harris Fellow Awards on June 28.

The club this year bestowed the Paul Harris Fellow Awards on Henry G. Houle of Forest Lake, and Erin and Richard Gross of Forest Lake.

Houle, a lifelong resident of the area, has a long history in the Forest Lake business community with a real estate business. He is also a former member of the Forest Lake City Council.

Erin and Richard Gross also have a long history of community service. Erin Gross is a registered nurse while Richard Gross is the former owner of a dental practice in Forest Lake. Both are community activists who have worked for a number of community programs, foundations and causes.
