The 14-day filing period for the Tuesday, Nov. 6 election is open through Tuesday, July 17. All four seats are for four-year terms starting Jan. 1, 2008 and running through Jan. 2, 2012. With four seats up for election, if more than eight candidates file for office, a primary election on Sept. 11 will be necessary, according to state election law. Affidavits of candidacy will be available at the District Office Building, 6100 N. 210th St., during regular hours Monday through Friday.
