VFW baseball team crushes Cooper

The VFW Post 4210 baseball team entertained Cooper on Thursday, July 12, and then promptly handed their guests a 10-0 thumping.
The contest only lasted five innings, with Forest Lake’s Nick Charest pitching the entire game, on his way to throwing seven strikeouts and giving up a mere three hits.
The evening started out fairly even, but then Charest settled down while his offense went berserk.
In the third inning, Forest Lake went through its entire batting order and essentially put the game out of Cooper’s reach.
Catcher Joe Devore went 3-for-3 at the plate, and third baseman Corey Manning got on base four times.
The boys were then headed off to the St. Cloud Tournament during the weekend of July 13.
