Deadline nears for Milk Run

The 23rd annual Minnesota State Fair 5K Milk Run is Sunday, August 26 at 7:45 a.m. Entry forms must be postmarked by July 20, with online registration closing at 12 p.m. on Friday, July 20. The entry fee is $20 and the race is limited to the first 1500 runners. Each runner will receive a Milk Run T-shirt, admission to the fair, a malt coupon and a chance to win door prizes. Drumline lessons on Mondays

Join the fun at Drumline's summer clinics. On Monday, July 23 and 30 from 6-9 p.m. at Forest Lake High School, students can learn everything they need to know. No commitment or experience necessary. August dates are yet to be determined.Chisago Lakes Triathlon info

The Chisago Lakes Area Triathlon is now a proven success, and was voted in the top three of the Minnesota Triathletes Favorite Triathlons of the Year at the Minnesota Multisport Awards Banquet last November. The momentum has not stopped, as over 600 athletes have already registered for 2007, which takes place on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29.

Swim team car wash on July 28

The Forest Lake girls swim team is having a car wash on Saturday, July 28 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in front of the Big Dollar Store.

Warner Nature Center camps

Warner Nature Center still has summer camp openings for toddlers.

Join Warner Nature Center as they explore the amazing world of bugs! See a bug up close and learn about how they survive. Class 2, “Bug Buddies”, runs Monday, July 30, Thursday, August 2, or Friday, August 3.

The classes are for children ages two and three with a parent or guardian, and are one hour long. Time choices are 9:30-10:30 a.m., or 11 a.m. - noon.

CHH golf fundraiser on Aug. 5

The Community Helping Hand golf fundraiser will be on Sunday, Aug. 5 at Castlewood Golf Course. Tee times will start at 1 p.m., and the cost is $200 per four-person team. The fee includes nine holes of golf, two power carts and tickets for door prize drawings. This benefits Community Helping Hand of Forest Lake and the Community Helping Hand Food Shelf. Forest Lake Chamber and Patriot Bank's 20th annual golf tourney

The Forest Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and Patriot Bank invite you to attend their 20th Annual Golf Tournament, Monday, August 6, 2007, with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. at Forest Hills Golf Club, 7530 N 210th St, Forest Lake. This year’s event is set to be a memorable one, with many special prizes and contests, so get your foursome together and register soon. If you don’t have a foursome, the chamber can help place you on a team.

Register by July 27 for $130 per person, which includes dinner, cart and 18 holes. After July 27 the fee is $155 per person. Call the chamber for more information and a registration form at 651-464-3200.

The Chamber only has a couple corporate and hole sponsorships available, contact the chamber office to receive more information about these opportunities. Corporate sponsorships are $750 and include four golfers, cart and dinner. Hole sponsorships start at $50 for chamber members.

FLAAA meets on 2nd Tuesday
