As part of its commitment to the Forest Lake area, the Lakes Area Business Association has made several donations to local groups. LABA has renewed its support of Chisago Lakes Young Life by sponsoring member Jerry Neumann with a golf fundraiser and to assist Jeanne Walz and the Lakes Area Youth Service Bureau with the Sponsor-A-Youth program. Additionally, the group made donations to the American Legion Post 225 celebration fund and is supporting Jim Trudeau’s Castlewood Golf Course revitalization by sponsoring a bench.The Lakes Area Business Association is a group of area business leaders working to reduce the cost of doing business in the Forest Lake area. The members sponsor public forums for local elections and makes donations to help with area needs. The LABA meets each Wednesday at noon at Dummys Restaurant, 7050 Scandia Trail N.
