A benefit in honor of Jodie Becker and her family is plannbed 5-10 p.m., Wednesday, June 20 at American Legion Post 225, 355 W. Broadway Ave.

Jodie, with the help of her husband Phil and their five children, is fighting an aggressive and rare form of cancer.

A benefit will be held for the family to help offset the continuous medical and insurance costs, experimental treatments and necessary handicap equipment. In addition to these life stresses, Jodie’s husband was recently laid off from his job.

A spaghetti dinner will be served from 5-7 p.m. and live music will continue from 6:30-10 p.m.

Between dinner and music participants can take part in the silent auction and enjoy a craft and bake sale.

Donations for the event are $7 for students, $15 for adults and children under the age of five will eat for free.

All the proceeds from the event will go directly to the Becker family.

Tickets can be purchased at St. Peter’s School Office, Century Jr. High lunch, or Forest Lake High School lunch or by contacting Teri at 651-464-5032.

Checks can be made payable to the “Jodie Becker Family Benefit.”
