Junior high band set for Roseville

The combined Forest Lake Junior High School Marching Band has accepted an invitation to march in the annual Rose Parade in Roseville at 6:15 p.m., Monday, June 25. With 85 units, the Rose Parade is one of the biggest in the Twin Cities. The parade begins on County Road B2 in Roseville. It runs east to Lexington Avenue, north to County Road C then west on Civic Center Drive. Grand marshals Don and Lou Zibell will join junior grand marshals Rachel Cordes and Chase Ekiyor in leading the parade. The parade is part of Rosefest, a community celebration for the city of Roseville. The festival begins June 21. Rosefest activities include a Run for the Roses 5K and 10K races, Roll for the Roses 10K Inline Race, concerts, sports competitions, garden party and other free and low cost activities.
