Rangers fare well at Junior Olympics
OLYMPIC SPIRIT: Earlier this month, Ryan Wright, Annie Dehmlow and Ben Fick were in Soldier Hollow, Utah, competing in the Nordic Ski Junior Olympics. Fick (pictured), who now skies for the University of Utah, was part of a national championship relay team and also picked up four All-American honors. Dehmlow, skiing in her first Olympic 10K course, at altitude, had “another great experience for her,” according to Forest Lake Nordic coach Deno Johnson, who also made the trip. Dehmlow would earn a 14th place finish in a relay, a 37th place in the Classic race and Johnson expects her to move into the top 20 next year. Wright took part in the four races in nine days event and Johnson said Wright was “fantastic.” Competing against the best in the nation, Wright was consistently in the top 35, and was on a relay team that took 10th place.
