Several other actions were taken at the meeting including:

The new date for the class will be sometime after Monday, April 30.

• Ben Montzka brought up that the Watershed District has had good representation in the past but no particular projects recently.
There are monies available for dire cases such as the situation of Comfort Lake and he implored the audience that action be taken for these kinds of projects to get started.
• A motion was made and passed to enter into contracts wih “qualified” non-profit service organizations for a maximum of $10,000 in 2007. An amount of $2000 to fund youth recreational programs will also be budgeted.
• The 2007 gopher bounty was approved at $2.00 per pair of feet with a cap of $1500.
• The Forest Lake Times and the Chisago County Press were designated as the legal newspapers for the township.
• This meeting will be continued to August 28th to address the 2008 budget and set the levy. Next year’s Annual Meeting is set for the second Tuesday in March.
• Mark Utecht thanked outgoing Board member Jeff Eiffler for his past service to the Township.
