Work crews from Xcel Energy have been busy in the southwest area of Forest Lake in recent days repairing underground natural gas leaks. Mike Tate, city of Forest Lake supervisor of public utilities, said Xcel is dealing with about a half dozen of the leaks and is taking steps to correct the problems. Tate said he expected Xcel crews would be wrapping up their work this week and repairing blacktop streets that had to be dug up.
