The Washington County Parks Division will soon begin development of Big Marine Park Reserve in May Township. This first phase of development will include a beach, boat launch, picnic area, play area, trails, and associated roads and parking areas. Because of the natural resource focus of the park, the design will provide a balance of outdoor recreation and natural resource restoration and management. Planners expect to have this part of the park open by the summer of 2008. Planners will be available at a public open house 5:30-6:30 p.m., Thursday, May 3. The open house will be at the May Town Hall, 13939 Norell Ave. N.
