The annual open house for the public at the Forest Lake High School Agriculture Education Department is on tap this Friday. The event will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the senior high school, 6101 Scandia Trail N. Agriculture: Minnesota’s Renewable Resource, is the theme for this year’s open house. Information on bio-diesel, ethanol and cellulose resources will be available. A number of groups representing different aspects of Minnesota agriculture will be on hand with informational booths. The open house will also feature student animal displays, samples of state dairy and turkey products and door prizes. The greenhouse will also be open for the student spring plant sale. The event is free and the public is invited.
