Washington County reminds residents that payments for many types of property taxes have deadlines approaching. The first installment deadline for real property and agriculture is May 15 with the full installment due May 15 on personal property. The County Taxpayer Services Office will be open on Saturday May 12 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accept payments for property taxes. Payments will be accepted at the service counter located on the second floor of the North Building at the County Government Center in Stillwater. The first half installment on manufactured homes is due Aug. 31. A penalty of 2 percent for homestead and 4 percent for non-homestead property must be added to first-half tax balances being paid after May 15. Additional penalties are applied to unpaid taxes on the first of each month, beginning June 1, until paid. For information, call the taxpayer services staff at 651-430-6175.
