Rep. Bob Dettmer, R-Forest Lake, has been named the Minnesota House of Representatives’ First-Term Republican Legislator of the Month for April. Since the Jan. 3 beginning of session, Dettmer has authored 13 bills, with several being included in the omnibus bills. The April honor also recognizes his commitment to constituents and keeping them informed, and for being a leader on educational issues. “Rep. Dettmer is an excellent public servant who uses his life experiences from the classroom and coaching everyday here in the legislature,” said House Republican Leader Marty Seifert in announcing the award.
