Tuesday, May 15 is the first property tax payment due date. Washington County officials said the first installment deadline for real property and agriculture is May 15 with the full installment due the same day on personal property. The County Taxpayer Services Office will be open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday May 12 to accept property tax payments. Payments will be accepted at the service counter located on the second floor of the North Building at the County Government Center in Stillwater. The first half installment on manufactured homes is due Aug. 31. A penalty of 2 percent for homestead and 4 percent for non-homestead property must be added to first-half tax balances being paid after May 15. Additional penalties are applied to unpaid taxes on the first of each month, beginning June 1, until paid. For information, call 651-430-6175.
